REVIEW: John 5:19; John 12:47-50. Jesus said His Father was the one giving Him instructions. What He said, even the words chosen was exactly what He heard from His Father. John 5:26,27. Jesus operated in this world as a Man who was using the authority of His Father’s Word. 

God’s Word conceived in your heart, then formed by the tongues, and spoken out of your own mouth, becomes a spiritual force releasing the ability of God in your circumstances.

Phil 4:13. How was Paul able to speak this text with confidence? His heart (spirit) had received God’s Word. For Paul, it was as if God had spoken this truth to his heart in a personal way. Paul did not mouth these words because of his ability to speak. They flowed out of his mouth from the abundance of his heart. He spoke outwardly what he believed in his heart.

People who say they CAN do all things and those who say they CAN NOT are both right. The words you speak, along with your actions of faith will either put you over or hold you in bondage. It is possible to speak faith words and act out your doubts. You will receive nothing from God as a result of this inconsistency. You will however receive what you have ignorantly requested. You will get a mixed bag of responses - hesitation and progress mixed with more confusion and wonder. Your answers will be inconclusive.

Christian people have been taken captive by their own words. By the prayer of their own mouth they set themselves in a place where they cannot receive from God. This is a common mistake we have all made. We have also been guilty of praying the opposite of the Word of God. Our prayers have often been against God because we did not stop to see His desires. We have prayed defeat, not in a formal prayer setting but in the words we spoke that were in opposition to the truths of the Word of God. Every idle word spoken will resurface in judgment. Your words are the first part of your action. You say in your heart or mind what you are planning.
