Spirit of Life Renovation Project - Our Renovation Needs The success
Spirit of Life has achieved is built on the warmth of our congregation, a
culture of inclusiveness based on a desire to display the love of God, a
continuous, progressive movement to reach out into our community, a healthy mix
of members and visitors, and uplifting leaders in our Pastor, First Lady, Team
Leaders and Members.
But, at this time, our building does not let us fully support our mission. Beyond
the obvious fact that it is aged, we need to make changes if we are
to build and expand on our current success. We have been blessed by God thru
various donations that have enabled us to begin renovating the interior of the
main sanctuary. We are in need of additional renovations to our church interior
such as:
- The
kids room
- Restrooms
- Kitchens
We are also in need of the following:
- Frost-free freezer
- Commercial refrigerator
- Fencing material (rod iron, chain link, etc.) - Someone,
preferably with welding experience to assist with installing the fencing
material
Each improvement is required for
us to accommodate growth, and
space to support future church activities. These renovations will:
Enable us to serve the community better
Enhance the atmosphere of our worship services
Improve our hospitality
How Will It Get Done?
We know that some of
us cannot afford to give at this time, so we ask that we each give what we can afford.
We do want you to keep in mind this lesson from Jesus in Mark 12:42-43 —
“A poor widow came and put in two small
copper coins, which are worth a penny. Then he called his disciples and said to
them, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are
contributing to the treasury.’ ”
Also keep in mind
Paul’s comment in his second letter to the Corinthians (9:7):
“Each of you must give as you have made up
your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
When Will We Renovate and What Will We Do?
No one is more anxious than us
to get on with the job. But we will not put the
Church at financial risk. We need to know what you and our congregation will do in
response to this request.
We will continue to make positive additions
to our church throughout the year. Some noticeable, others not so noticeable,
but steps will be taken to move us closer to fulfilling the vision and mission
of Spirit of Life.

We encourage those

and our News page to stay informed of the great things that our Lord is
doing thru your gifts. Soon, we will be posting on our site the visual changes
occurring within our church building. Life changes will also be
included.....stay tuned.
