Tried By The Word Of God

The Word of God does not mean much to any Christian unless it has become personal. In making it ours we "try" and "prove" many verses and portions by application in daily life. But few understand that God's Word working in their lives is also "tried" by the enemy. It is in the times of being tried that we must remember the song, "Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." In the practical daily reading and obeying of God's Word we learn to trust and obey. It is by this means that God's Word becomes tried and proven in our lives.

It's Not Over Until It's Over

Have you lost heart over a personal dream or a promise from God which hasn't been fulfilled? Yet to the best of your knowledge, does this dream fit your gifts and interests well? Is it a good match for your life as God has designed it? It may seem that pessimism about the future is your best defense against further disappointment. But keep in mind the benefits of hope, and the reasons for staying hopeful - God delivers. Be careful not to write history with a gloomy conclusion before it happens. Stay open to opportunities to move toward your dream that God may make possible for you.
